Hey y'all!
Anybody interested in watching The Proposal?
I heard that it's a great movie and can't wait to watch it! :)

First of all, it stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
They are amazing actors!
Sandra has also been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards twice.
I loved some of the movies they acted in, e.g. Miss Congeniality and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
In the movies, they played their character very well, so much so that I was engrossed in the story.
I am sure that that they will display great chemistry together on the big silver screen.

Elizabeth told me that she watched the movie online and that the plot is good.
So I went onto the internet, found the plot and read it.
Turns out the plot is actually quite comical at the beginning and gradually becomes more engaging.
I watched the trailer too.
Eh, but don't expect me to give out any spoilers here. :)
Even though I can easily download the movie from the internet, I won't, because I want to watch it in theatres if I win a pair of tickets courtesy of Nuffnang. ;)
Here's the movie site:

AHH...
Talking about the movie makes me want to watch it even more!
I swear I'm going to bring all my friends to watch the movie.

The Proposal opens in cinemas 20 August 2009.

Just watched NDP and Singapore Idol auditions at my aunt's house.
I hate the way they remixed the old national day songs!
Even Stand Up for Singapore sounds weird.
I loved the marching though.
Very coordinated.
Suhaimi Yusof and Mark Lee were also funny in Chapter 1. :)
I liked Chapter 2 as well.
"Defending Our Country"
Omg, the little kids were so cute!!!
When the boy said that he wanted to be the president of S'pore when he grew up, the President smiled and we all laughed. :)
Some Indian dancers were dancing in 6-storey tall grids!
They even had to go for height training before they could dance in the grids.
At 8.22 p.m., saying the Pledge together and singing the National Anthem united all Singaporeans, even those in other countries.

I find that Singapore has come a long way since self-government, and believe that she will continue to soar to greater heights.
Happy Birthday, Singapore!

After NDP was Singapore Idol.
Well, what can I say?
Some ppl are just crazy.
Like the guy who dressed up like a freak and said he was from hell.
He actually scared a baby to tears!
Example 2: A girl who had a tattoo on her back.

Judges: "Hey, could we see that again?"
Girl: "I'm not an ah lian."
J: "We didn't say you were! Is it a temporary or permanent one?"
G: "I'm not an ah lian."

There were a lot of ppl who did really funny imitations of the judges, especially Ken Lim!

He is like the Singaporean version of Simon Cowell.

And Dick Lee kept fiddling with his pen.

I laughed like shit! :D

Many look-alikes were there as well.

There were ppl who looked like Taufik, Hady and Ken!

Damn amusing.

And then there were some people who just couldn't accept that they can't sing!
One sucked at singing, one whispered, and one just screeched.
Just thinking about it makes me shudder.

There were some sad stories too.
Like this guy who had a walking stick.
He said:" My name is XXX and I'm 19 this year. I'm doing NS right now. A few years ago, I was dancing and I did a jump wrong. I fell and twisted my leg. I went to see a doctor and they put my leg in a cast, which was apparently the wrong thing to do. I had a muscle injury, not a bone injury. So inside the cast, my muscles just...wasted away. Now I'm diagnosed with arthritis, at the early age of 19."
Stupid doctor!
He should get sued.

There was this girl who came with 14 supporters and her grandma.
One of the judges, Florence, asked her to sing to her grandma and she said that her grandma had never heard her sing before.
After she was done singing and all the judges said yes, Florence actually started crying and said," That was so sweet! Tissues! :D"

Then there was another girl whose father did not know she was at the auditions.
She said that he would probably be worried that she would feel bad after getting rejected or smth.
So when she successfully got through to the next round, she called her father but he didn't answer.
She said," I'm going to Facebook him, Twitter him, SMS him, email him and use every from of technology available."
I hope her father's proud of her.

There were some other cases like a guy wit long curly hair, a guy who thought he would be the next Singapore Idol but failed miserably, and another guy who couldn't pronounce his words properly and kept saying “nong, nong” instead of “long, long”.

To sum it up, even though there were some loony ppl at the auditions, I’m sure that this year’s talent won’t be any worse than the previous 2 seasons.

In fact, they might be even better! :)

Your Word is "Think"

You see life as an amazing mix of possibilities, ideas, and fascinations.

And sometimes you feel like you don't have enough time to take it all in.

You love learning. Whether you're in school or not, you're probably immersed in several subjects right now.

When you're not learning, you're busy reflecting. You think a lot about the people you know and the things you've experienced.
